Vancouver Wellness Portrait Photography
What is a wellnesss portrait photography session? It's a mindful, self-esteem-based photo-shoot, especially
for people who feel deep dread, intense dislike, sadness, or even fear about getting their pictures taken.
A wellness portrait session is for you, if you hate pictures of yourself, if you believe you look terrible in every photo. Most importantly,
this specialized session is for you, if you want to overcome and move past those negative feelings towards an improved sense of self.
We begin your session by just sitting and talking. Before a single photo is taken of you, we have an in-depth discussion about your challenges and
insecurities around having your photos taken. Then we focus on your hopes and goals for how you want and/or need to perceive yourself going forward.
When you book your session, you're given detailed 'how to prepare' instructions, which will help you choose what to wear, how to style yourself, what to bring, and
how to mentally prepare yourself.
It's easier to feel relaxed, open, and peaceful in an outdoor setting. You have the option to choose one of three very carefully selected outdoor locations. Sunset Beach Park in
the West End. Queen Elizabeth Park in Mount Pleasant/Fairview. Vanier Park in Kitsilano.
During your session, we can take as few or as many photos as you feel comfortable with. No pressure, no expectations, just lots of collaboration, support, and empowerment.
The purpose of your wellness photography session, is to help you let go of old, negative, self-harming perceptions. To take an important, healing step forwards.
