It always amazes me how light can make anything beautiful.
I know the difference between a Phillips and a Robertson screwdriver.
My favourite smell is wood-smoke on a rainy West Coast autumn evening.
Always on my bookshelves: 'To Kill a Mockingbird', 'His Dark Materials' and 'Good Omens'.
Always in my music playlist: Paolo Nutini, David Gray and Bob Dylan.
Always in my dvds: 'The Princess Bride', 'The Godfather' and the fine works of Joss Whedon.
The three most breathtaking things I've ever seen are the Grand Canyon,
the Chagall Windows at the Art Institute of Chicago
and the full moon shining on the snowy mountains of the Bella Coola Valley.
Dorothea Lange is my favourite photographer and my inspiration.
My heroes are Muhammad Ali and Princess Leia.
Sometimes I eat ice-cream for breakfast.
If I were a Muppet, I'm pretty sure I'd be Grover.
But more than anything else, I'm a photographer.
I knew it from the time I held my first camera (a Kodak 110, way back in the early 1980's).
I've been taking pictures for over 20 years now.
It's what I love best. It's what I do best.
And that love goes into each and every photo I take.
